Ring Making Workshop - various dates

Join us for a fun, creative morning where you will be guided through the basics of wax carving to create your very own ring. This is an informal workshop aimed at complete beginners - wax is a really accessible way to get into making jewellery as there's so many possibilities and room for creativity.

When: Sunday 19th January 11-1:30 or Sunday 16th February 11-1:30
Where: Field Studio, 66 Ratcliffe Terrace, Edinburgh EH9 1ST
✴ Suitable for beginners (18+) - no experience needed.
✴ Ticket price includes all materials, use of tools, and the casting & polishing cost of your ring
✴ You can chose to have your ring polished to either a matte, or high shine finish, with patina added for engravings. You can also have your ring gold plated for an additional fee paid on the day of the workshop
✴ Your ring will be posted out to you in approx. 6 weeks. You will receive a Royal Mail tracking email when your ring is on its way to you
✴ Cancellation policy - A full refund will be made for cancellations made within 7 days before the workshop, otherwise you will be able to pick an alternative date to attend. If you wish to cancel your booking, please email hello@studiovincentjewellery.com. Gifted tickets are non-refundable. If the workshop is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, you can choose a full refund or offered a spot on the next available workshop.
If you're purchasing as a gift and would like a physical ticket, just respond to your confirmation email with any message you'd like to include. An e-ticket will be sent to you for you to print and gift. Simple! Gifted tickets may not be refunded, if you are unable to attend you can choose an alternative date.

I was gifted this workshop by my friend and we did it together. Was such a lovely experience and I already want to do it again! Lauren was so organised and kind, she took us through the process step-by-step and was patient with any questions we had. Was a great way to get in the zone and do something creative and different. Just had to wait 6 weeks for my ring to be cast, polished and opted for the brushed gold finish. I'm so pleased with how it turned out and it'll be a special memory that I'll share with my friend. Cannot recommend this experience enough.

Had a lovely relaxed morning carving my wax ring. There was a very chilled, friendly atmosphere and good direction from Lauren. My ring arrived with me about 6 weeks later and I love it. Lauren has polished it up so well - it is a real one off statement ring. I would love to see more classes for pendants or stone setting in wax someday.

I set myself the challenge this year of trying something new every month so I was super excited when I heard about this workshop - carving your own ring is definitely not an activity you hear about every day! Lauren did a fantastic job curating a really cosy, supportive atmosphere, and her instructions were clear and concise. It didn't matter if anything went wrong - she always had a trick or two up her sleeve to fix it in no time, which meant I could really relax and enjoy the process rather than worrying about imperfections. The end result is gorgeous and even as someone who hasn't worn rings in a long time, I'll be sure to wear this one a lot. It's a great talking point, and so lovely to carry around a reminder of what I'm capable of creating with a bit of love, wax and expert tuition!
